About Us
Our Roots
Established in 1999, the Marshall Women's Leadership Board (MWLB) is the oldest organization at the University of Southern California dedicated to and led by female undergraduates. As one of USC's premier women's professional development organizations, MWLB provides opportunities for members to network with and seek mentorship from business professionals and USC alumni.
We host educational workshops and panels to enhance our members' professional skills and introduce them to a variety of positions in different fields – from media to finance. As a social organization, we strive to foster relationships between like-minded, ambitious women. Ultimately, we are a network of diverse female leaders from all majors, connected by our passion for business and commitment to supporting each other as aspiring businesswomen!
Our Mission
Marshall Women's Leadership Board strives to shape young Trojan women into dynamic, confident, and successful business professionals by providing opportunities for personal and professional development, cultivating valuable relationships, and empowering our members to achieve success in their respective fields.

Programming
Professional
We host a variety of speakers throughout the semester to expose our members to industries including finance, technology, entertainment, marketing, and consulting. Some of our favorite speakers have worked at Rare Beauty, Disney, Hulu, Amazon, Google, McKinsey, Goldman Sachs, and Pfizer.
We also hold networking events each semester. Our Mocktails event and Office Visits are great opportunities for our members to network with professionals in all industries!
This year, we launched a New Member Program aimed at enhancing the professional growth of individuals who have recently joined MWLB. Participants meet biweekly to refine their resumés and cover letters, master job interview preparation, understand networking basics, practice email etiquette, navigate internship offers, and more.
Social
Our Membership Team plans several fun bonding activities for general meetings each semester, including PowerPoint night, trivia, and dessert nights. Outside of general meetings, members spend time together at various social events both on and off campus. We host an overnight retreat each semester, as well as smaller events, such as laser tag and beach days.
New members are also paired with returning members through our Big-Little program and seniors act as Peer Career Advisors, mentoring underclassmen interested in learning about the industries that the seniors are going into.
